Frequently Asked Questions about Reiki Sessions

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing process that transfers positive, healing energy from the practitioner to the receiver, which can help ease stress and create relaxation.

What will the practitioner need to provide Reiki in my home?

The practitioner needs a safe, clean, quiet setting with enough space for the practitioner to set up a massage table. The practitioner will need parking that allows easy access into your home to carry the equipment. The practitioner will also need access to a bathroom to wash their hands before and after services.

What will I experience during the Reiki session?

The receiver will be asked to lie down on the table, close their eyes, and relax. The practitioner may perform Reiki through light touch or by hovering hands over the body. Each receiver may experience Reiki differently. For example, some may feel warmth generated by the practitioner, others may feel a pulsing sensation, some might fall asleep, and others may feel nothing at all. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to experience Reiki.

How long is the Reiki session?

The average time the practitioner needs is about an hour, including time to set up the table, prepare for the session, conduct the session, and then clean up and depart. The Reiki session typically takes between 30-45 minutes, The time may vary depending on what the practitioner and receiver agree upon.

Is Reiki a massage?

No, Reiki is not a massage, nor is the practitioner a licensed massage therapist.

Is Reiki a medical treatment?

No, the practitioner is not providing any medical treatment. The practitioner will not offer any medical advice or make a medical diagnosis. The Reiki session is not a replacement for medical treatment, nor should it replace the services of a qualified medical provider. Individuals concerned about receiving Reiki should consult with their medical provider before scheduling a session.

Do I need to sign a disclaimer/waiver before I receive a Reiki session?

Yes. The practitioner will not travel to your residence or provide services if a disclaimer/waiver has not been fully executed by any individual(s) receiving Reiki.

Frequently Asked Questions about Tarot Card Readings

Can you predict my future with a tarot card reading?

No. The practitioner is not a psychic and cannot predict the future.  The practitioner is an intuitive tarot card reader, and they share their interpretation of the cards’ meanings at that particular moment. The practitioner will be honest and direct in their interpretation and may not always provide an exact answer to your question, or the answer you want to hear. Always remember, the reading is just an interpretation and not a foregone conclusion.

Should I make future decisions based on a tarot card reading?

Tarot card readings can provide the receiver with great insight; however, readings should be considered as entertainment, and should not be considered as specific advice provided by the practitioner to the receiver for decision making. Additionally, the practitioner’s tarot card readings do not provide medical, financial, or legal advice, nor should the readings replace advice received by qualified medical, financial or legal professionals.

What questions should I ask during my tarot card reading?

Countless questions can be asked with the tarot, and the practitioner will work with you to shape questions to help get the most out of the reading. Ideally, questions should be open-ended (not yes/no questions) and about the receiver versus a third party. For example, a strong question could be, “What do I need to know about the job opportunity?” A similar question, poorly phrased may be, “Will Jane offer me the job?”

Do I need to sign a disclaimer/waiver before my Tarot Card Reading?

Yes, the practitioner will not perform any tarot card readings if a disclaimer/waiver has not been signed by the client.

When do I need to provide payment for my Tarot Card Reading and can I receive a refund if I need to cancel?
